i suggest chalking out a design! or sketching with anything visible.

i suggest scissors for the best cut. maybe a blade for distressing after.

I pinched the back fabric, rubbed it between my fingers to make sure its the only thing i have, then i make a tiny snip.

I double check then proceed to cut more. if you want a rip effect, it only rips vertically and horizontally.
